Movement can feel impossible in the face of overwhelm.
Overwhelm is a river in flood, rushing wild and unrelenting. Standing in its current, movement seems impossible—until you stop fighting against the force and learn to float. Even in the chaos, there is a way through.
We have a way through the overwhelm we face today. We can learn to float, too.
Arm-in-arm, side-by-side, we will form the union that allows our connections to guide us safely through the current. It's through recognizing humanity, looking each other in the eye, and remembering that we are all in this together.
We risk drowning if we let go of our solidarity, if we let division sever the ties that hold us together, and if we forget that together, we are more powerful than each of us alone.
Now, if you don't feel overwhelmed, ask yourself why. Where do you stand in this moment?
Take a moment to reflect:
Where is your attention?
Where is your heart?
You don't need to feel overwhelmed to be attuned to our world. Yet if not even a tiny part of you feels it, that might be worth exploring, my friend. You may be disconnected from the reality that we are facing. It's worth a look inside. I promise.
Any life worth living is a life worth being present for.
Our movement starts with us, with our connection to each other. Talk to someone today. Look them in the eye and talk about something that matters. Let's wade into the deeper waters, beyond the shallow end, where real connection begins.

Lovely write Ashley! Unity, not division.
This made me think of white water rafting. If you find yourself no longer in your raft the absolute worst thing you can do is stand as if your foot gets caught you're very likely to break something. Go with the flow of the river and someone from your community will pull you out.
